Coral Class Forest School

Coral class ventured out into the Forest School area and we were blessed to have the sun shining after all the rain at lunchtime. The children were able to tell me details about birds that live in England as well as some that may be endangered. We spoke about different foods they tend to eat and where the birds tend to build their nests. The children built their own birds' nests and enjoyed getting their hands muddy to create a thick paste to secure all the leaves and twigs in shape.

After that, the children began to explore the area by digging to find stones, which they cracked open to see what colours and patterns were inside. They made a mud soup which was a bubbly explosion and even created some mud pies to serve with it.
