This week Year Two welcomed Eric, a firefighter from Hersham fire station. We learnt about what his job entailed and were intrigued to hear about his most heroic firefighting missions. Most importantly, Eric told us about how to keep ourselves safe and what to do in a fire. Year 2 practised a phone call to the emergency services and learnt about the importance of learning our home address. Following Eric’s visit, we explored how modern-day firefighting contrasts to firefighting during the Great Fire of London. Fro more photos click here.
