Dear Parents/Guardians,
News and Events
Please see our website here for photos from all our recent events in school. We are especially delighted to have taken part in football, cross-country and panathlon competitions against other schools this week, in addition to our regular sports clubs and training. This term will also see lots of opportunities for our children to get involved in music festivals and in art workshops, so keep your eye on the website! We are delighted that there are so many activities opening up again now - let’s make the most of them!
Crowning of Our Lady - Friday 6th May 2pm
Next Friday will be the first Friday in May - traditionally the time of year when we honour Mary as Mother of God and Queen of Heaven. Year 4 will complete the crowning ceremony as usual, but this year with our new hall capacity, we have the opportunity to invite parents to join us for Mass and for the Crowning.
Traditionally the children bring flowers from their gardens to lay at Our Lady’s feet, but we would like to ask if possible that the Year 4 children this year might be able to bring a small bedding plant - these will then be planted in the flower pots around the grounds after the event so that we can enjoy them throughout Mary’s month of May and beyond! Volunteers for a “planting party” after the event are warmly welcomed! Please contact me if you and your friends can spare a few minutes before the end of the school day on Friday 6th May.
Parent Survey
Please find below the link to our Parent Survey for Summer Term 2021-22. We would love to hear your views about our school and about your children’s experience. Do please be honest (the survey is anonymous), but if there is anything you are not happy with, do also speak to me or a member of the senior leadership team to let us know - we can’t act if we don’t know what the problem might be. We will always try to help if we possibly can. Equally, if you’re very happy with all the work our school team are doing, please do let us know and don’t assume someone else will - our school staff all work very hard and they would love to have your feedback on their work! Thank you for responding to the survey which you can find here.
Science Day
On Thursday 23rd June, we will be holding a Science Fair all day - any parents who are scientists or who work for science-based companies who may be able to contribute to the day are invited to get in touch with Mr Carter (Science Lead) via the school office. We have lots of exciting things going on that day, but would love to hear from others who can contribute.
Wishing all of you a lovely Bank Holiday weekend - let’s hope the sun is shining for us!
All the best
