A note from St Erconwalds:
As the cold is coming, we are starting to bring out thick coats, gloves and scarves, maybe even turning the heating on! Now, imagine children not having any of these items and no electricity or heating and in temperatures even lower than the ones we have in the UK….. Hard to think, isn’t it? Well, we can do something about it! Here at St Erconwald’s we would like to encourage you and your child to donate children’s new gloves, scarves, hats and warm socks to go to Ukraine this winter or to sponsor these items by making a donation (cash or bank transfer). We are sponsoring a lorry to go to Ukraine as soon as possible and sending these items would be really helpful. Just paying for the lorry to go to Ukraine costs us £2500 so any help towards this as well would be greatly appreciated. If you wish to contribute, please bring any items to the Parish Office (only new items please) or if you would like to be a sponsor please add as ref “Ukraine gift”. The deadline is 12th of December. We are really grateful for your generosity and help in this matter. Thank you (St Erconwalds Parish Office).
