A Crown for King Charles!

It was fantastic to see so many crowns on our playground today. The hall transformed into a royal banquet at lunchtime as the children shared their picnics together in the hall. After lunch, the school council visited each class to have a look at the crowns. They decided all of the crowns could easily be used in tomorrows ceremony but the following crowns really stood out to them:

Summer ball

Summer Ball tickets are on sale via Classlist - remaining tickets to be released tonight! 

You can book in groups or individually - if booking as a group just make sure you add your table hosts name!

The Ball Committee would welcome your support generating donations for the raffle & auction.  Can you or any of your connections  offer prizes along the lines of:

- Vouchers for restaurants, hotels, spas, fitness & entertainment venues, activities...... 

- Free spa, hair or beauty treatments, personal training or fitness classes.....

- Holiday rentals

Xavier Musician of the Year

Xavier Musician of the Year 2023 - 6pm on 18^th May at Cardinal Newman School. 

Cardinal Newman are delighted to once again be hosting this year's Xavier Musician of the Year event. Talented musicians from all schools across the Xavier Trust will be performing, during an evening of inspiring and uplifting music. The Cardinal Newman choir will also be singing on the evening. 

Tickets are available on the door (£3 - cash please), which includes a glass of prosecco or soft drink to enjoy. 

We look forward to welcoming you on the 18th! 

The Big Help Out - Donations and volunteers needed!

We will be taking part in ' The Big Help Out' on Friday 12^th May in the afternoon.  If possible please donate plants/shrubs so we can spruce up the school grounds.

Can we please have parent/grandparent volunteers to help us tidy up the flower beds at the front of the school.  Please contact the office if you are able to help. More details to follow.

Diversity Celebration Day - Donations and volunteers needed!

On Friday 19^th May, between 3.00 and 4.00pm we will celebrate diversity in our school by sharing finger foods from other countries.  Parents will be able to take their children to the hall after school to taste a variety of foods.

There will be tables with finger food from lots of countries.  We are fortunate to have such a wealth of diversity and it is lovely for the children to see their own cultures and favourite foods celebrated in school with their friends.

So far we have parents who will organise English, Polish, Irish and Italian foods.  Each table will need finger foods related to that country.   If groups get together to decide on one item to contribute each, there should be lots of food.  (Please list the ingredients of the food and remember that this is a NUT FREE school.

Please let Ms. Hunt know if you can organise and arrange with some other parents or friends to provide a range of finger foods from a country you are familiar with.   We would love the tables to reflect our school family.

School Dinners

Please remember to book school dinners on Scopay at least 1 day in advance or ring the school office before 9am if you have left it too late to book/cancel online for that day.

Allergies

If your child has an allergy please make sure the school office is informed. Please check the menu carefully before booking lunch for your child.
