Governors Fund
A note from our Chair of Governors, Sarah Rice:
Thank you for choosing to send your child to our Catholic school. As you may know, faith schools have traditionally had to contribute 10% to any capital project funding and as a Catholic school in the Xavier Catholic Education Trust, the school Governors Fund must contribute 10% of the cost of any capital projects, such as building and general site repairs and improvements. We do this from our ‘Governors Fund’.
The Governors' Fund is made up of voluntary donations from parents of children at Cardinal Newman, for the benefit of the children at the school and over the years, the majority of our parents have chosen to contribute monthly to the Governors’ Fund at Cardinal Newman Catholic Primary School to enable the school to develop both buildings and resources to provide the best education for our children. In the last five years, these contributions have funded or part-funded exciting ventures such as our school minibus, the new hall extension, computing facilities, tiered seating and the new Reception Outside Area your children will enjoy. Our next project will be to redevelop the Year 1 outside area in a similar way.
We would love to continue to develop our provision and facilities while your child is at Cardinal Newman and would ask you to consider signing up for monthly donations in the same way if you have the financial capacity to do so.
Most families donate £10 per child per month, some are willing and able to donate more but we welcome any donation large or small.
It's really easy to make your donation to the Governor's Fund. If you would like to donate online, even a one-off donation, the CAF Donate account for the Governor’s Fund can be viewed here: https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/20836
Thank you for your support.
We hope you and your family will be very happy at Cardinal Newman.
